Bitumen metal Drum
The applications of metal barrels are very wide and varied. Depending on its use in various industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mineral, oil and grease, concentrates, petrochemical, bitumen and petroleum derivatives… the shape and material of its body and lid are different.
Bituminous metal barrels usually have a large door in the center of the upper part of the barrel, which is used for packing and transporting bitumen, and the thickness of its body is usually about 0.6 mm.
Metal barrels are widely used in bitumen packaging. Metal barrels should be placed near bitumen filling equipment. Bitumen barrels are produced in different sizes that differ in terms of capacity, body height and sheet thickness. Standard and common barrels have a body thickness of 6 x 0 mm. In terms of height, the barrels are divided into two groups, long and short, with heights of 3±89 cm and 3±68 cm, respectively.
New short barrels weigh about 150 kilograms and their cost is more than long barrels. Long barrels are used more in different markets and in many countries. The approximate weight of bitumen in long barrels is 180 kilograms.
With a 20-foot container, 110 barrels without pallets and 80 palletized barrels can be transported, and with a 40-foot container, 137 barrels without pallets and 150 palletized barrels can be transported.
The carrying capacity of the floor is about 115 barrels without pallets and 90 palletizer barrels. We do not recommend the use of second-hand barrels to our customers due to the incompatibility of the quality of these tanks with international standards. Using new barrels reduces the risks of transportation.
The production of metal barrels is one of the most effective and best methods of transporting various petroleum-bituminous and chemical fluids through land and water routes, which can transport all types of fluids with different capacities and surface coatings, different shapes and thicknesses.
The production of metal barrel is carried out in accordance with certain standards that determine the volume, weight, thickness and material of the metal sheet used and its design.
A metal barrel is a hollow cylinder-shaped volume that is made from sheets of different materials such as steel, galvanized sheet, etc., depending on the type of use. The different volumes of the barrel make it possible to use it in the transfer of different fluids and in long and short distances, so that the usual volume of these barrels is between 200-100 liters. Barrels have a capacity of 42 gallons or approximately 159 liters in accordance with the international standard for trading all kinds of fluids.
