Specifications of soluble bitumen RC800
RC800 quick-acting bitumen is a black quick-acting bitumen with high hardness and contains 75% pure bitumen. The kinematic viscosity of soluble bitumen RC800 is 800, which according to this high viscosity is one of the hard soluble bitumen.
Soluble bitumen is a mixture of pure bitumen and various industrial solvents or petroleum oils such as gasoline or kerosene. This bitumen is liquid at ambient temperature, or it becomes liquid by receiving a small amount of heat. In fact, soluble bitumen is classified based on time taken and evaporation.
Three types of soluble bitumen are obtained from the combination of pure bitumen with solvents. That is, the higher the amount of light solvent in the production of bitumen, the faster and faster its evaporation is.
Rapid Curing Bitumen RC800 or Rapid Curing Bitumen is shown with the abbreviation RC800 and is produced from the combination of pure bitumen with a light solvent such as gasoline.
The solvent in RC800 soluble bitumen evaporates after using it, and 75% of pure bitumen remains in the end. Also, the amount of water in RC800 soluble bitumen compounds is 0.2%.
Application of RC800 fast-acting bitumen
One of the main applications of RC800 fast-acting bitumen is the production of protective asphalts, bitumen spraying and surface coating, and the production of single-layer and multi-layer asphalts. This bitumen is also used for waterproofing with stone materials and in the construction of permeable macadam asphalt with a lot of empty space.
Rapid Curing bitumen (RC bitumen)
If gasoline is used to dissolve pure bitumen, the resulting bitumen is called Rapid Curing bitumen, which is denoted by the abbreviation RC; Because, the solvent in the bitumen evaporates in a short time after consuming the soluble bitumen and the original bitumen remains.
Quick-set bitumen is available in five types, RC-30, RC-70, RC-250, RC-800, and RC-3000. Application of cutback or solution as a primer, surface coating and asphalt sub-work.
Long-lasting soluble bitumen
The evaporation time of slow cutback bitumen is slower than the evaporation time of two quick cutback bitumen. As a result, they use solvents whose evaporation rate is 0.8 times slower than the evaporation rate of acetone to make long-lasting cutback bitumen. Therefore, most solvents such as gasoline or fuel oil are used to make slow-setting bitumen.
Soluble bitumen RC70 and RC250 are widely used cutback bitumen products. Also, the common use of long-lasting cutback bitumen products is in the suppression of soil and cold asphalt.

Due to the nature and type of construction of cutback bitumen, this bitumen has its own advantages over other bitumen. For example, the best benefit of using cutback bitumen is its versatility. Since soluble bitumen evaporates quickly, most of its products do not need to be heated before being applied to the road surface or other surfaces. Also, soluble bitumen can be applied at low temperature and above the surface of roads, if for many bitumen it is necessary to heat the bitumen. In addition, when soluble bitumen are applied to the road surface, they break down slowly and are resistant to various weather conditions.
